Tips on how to write Romance Stories

Do you want to be a famous romance novelist someday? Well, creating romance stories are not that easy but if you have broad imagination and creativeness, I am very sure that you can write well. But, you have to bear on your mind the following tips.
First, make your story interesting. When you sit in front of your computer and started writing you have to know what will be your plot, who will be your characters, where will be the setting and how your characters deal with their emotions. Creating dialogues are important. Remember, you are writing a romance stories so it would be better if your dialogues are powerful and your narrations are easy to understand.
Second, know your target audience and decide what will be the sub-genre of your story. I advice that you should choose the sub-genre you are interested and comfortable with. Here are the lists of sub-genres for romance stories: Contemporary romance, Historical romance, Romantic Suspense, Paranormal Romance, Fantasy Romance, Time-Travel romance, Inspirational romance, Multicultural romance and Erotic romance.
Contemporary Romance – it shows how the hero and heroine build their romantic relationship. It can be comedy, drama or suspense.
Historical Romance – this novel has the setting of past centuries.
Romantic Suspense – this story has a mystery, it involves crime and investigation.
Paranormal Romance – this story involves fantasy, horror or paranormal experience.
Fantasy Romance – this story involves elements like dwarf and fairies.
Time-Travel Romance – this story take you a journey of time. You can visit your future or your past life.
Inspirational Romance – this story talks about the spiritual or religious beliefs.
Multicultural Romance – the stories about the differences of the lead characters.
Erotic Romance – these stories are for adult readers. It talks about sex and desires.

Third, you are writing a romance stories so you have to focus on their relationships and emotions. Describe their feelings through dialogues and actions. If your character is a professional, let him talk as educated and smart person. If you create villain, let the readers understand why he/she act like that.
Fourth, the responsibility of a romance writer is to bring the reader to another place through their imagination, words and phrases. The effective writer can make her readers sighs, whisper fall in love, cry and laugh.
Fifth, make your story interesting and exciting. Use your creativity to build cliffhanger at the end of every chapter. Build up problems, conflict and how your characters solve it. Just remember, romance novels should always have happy ending. It always end in saying I love you and a kiss.
